Difference between Philips Sonicare 7900 vs 9000 Specs

Philips Sonicare 7900 vs 9000 Electric Toothbrush

The key difference between Philips Sonicare 7900 and 9000 is that the Sonicare 7900 ExpertClean is marketed as a purely whitening toothbrush and that is why you get four W2 Optimal White brush heads. This contrasts with the Sonicare 9000 Diamondclean which has one brush head, and the C3 Premium plaque defence in its package.

  • Philips Sonicare 9000 Diamondclean is mainly sold in pairs (you get two brush heads and two C3 brush heads) while Sonicare 7900 offers one handle but four whitening brush heads.
  • Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 features a high-quality travel casing with a USB cable designed into it, while the charging cable on the Sonicare 7900 travel-case is detachable.
  • As compared to the tough plastic shell case of the Sonicare 7900, the Diamondclean 9000’s travel case has a lid that’s coated in a gentle touch leather while the Sonicare name is inscribed in gold font which gives it a more premium feel and look when compared to the 7900 that has the white Sonicare text designed and printed onto the tough plastic ExpertClean case.
  • Additionally, the Sonicare 9000‘s case has a USB cable designed into it. Permanently wired in the foundation of the casing, there’s a place to store the cable when not used. It’s seen via a removable cover. With the Sonicare 7900 case, however, the USB cable is removable.
  • On one end of the casing is a micro USB port into which the cable could be hooked up. This actually leaves the possibility for the cable to be mislaid or even lost as it’s a distinct product to take when traveling.
  • Inside the case, there’s a slight variation too, as a result of the way the two brushes are recharged. The ExpertClean case features a prong that fits in the foundation of the ExpertClean, whereas the DiamondClean casing doesn’t.
  • The ExpertClean can be purchased in white, pink and black colour choices when compared with the pink and black colour options of the DiamondClean 9000. However, both brushes are made in two colour options (black and whte).
  • Philips Sonicare 7900 ExpertClean has a conventional charging stand when compared with the more premium version in the Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 often describes as a’ charging glass’,
  • The Philips Sonicare 7900 charging stand is lighter and uses up less countertop space than Soniacre 9000. Both charge wirelessly, though the design differs.
  • The ExpertClean is relatively cheaper than the DiamondClean 9000.

Which is better, Philips Sonicare Diamondclean 9000 or Sonicare Expertclean 7900 Toothbrush?

It is also true that all Sonicare toothbrushes make use of a sweeping motion (unlike the oscillating activity of several other brushes) and go as much as 62,000 times a minute. These high frequency movements carefully get water to sweep between your teeth to remove foods and plaque with no hard brush which can potentially harm the gums.

The differences between these two designs are subtle and have no significant bearing on daily use.

The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 has few subtle, high-end visual differences. However theSonicare Expertclean 7900 can do what the Diamondclean can if you invest in buying the C3 premium brush head because it is primed to focus on whitening teeth. The C3 alongside the defence.
