All you need to do is simply place the charger in the glass and it will start charging automatically.

This innovative glass charger can not only provide a charger that can last up to 2 weeks but its design can also go a long way in adding a touch of elegance to your bathroom. For even greater convenience, the Diamondclean Smart 9500 and 9700 models come with carrying cases that have a charging station that can allow you to charge your brush handle with USB while on-the-go.

Intuitive technology:

Unlike the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum which only works upon activating the Sonicare App, the Philips Sonicare Diamondclean Smart has a BrushSync Mode Pairing, an intuitive technology that automatically coordinates the settings with the characteristics of the brush head. That means you can confidently use any type of brush head to attain the very teeth cleaning results you want.

Design and Appearance

In terms of appearance, the FlexiCare Platinum looks more standard and clinical than its DiamondClean Smart counterpart.

Generally speaking, both the Philips Sonicare Flexcare Platinum and Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart are designed with almost the same shape and size. However, there are many visible differences  when it comes to button configuration, cleaning mode layout and color options.

DiamondClean Smart Design and Look:

The Diamondclean Smart’s design is more integrated, smoother and sleeker. This electric brush only has two buttons on its faceplate: an ON/OFF button and mode & intensity
settings button. The brush’s handle face also comes with LED icons that represent 5 different brush settings, which make it easier for you to know the mode you are currently using.

With the DiamondClean Smart 9300 and 9500 series, you can choose from 4 different colors including white, black, pink and grey. The DiamondClean Smart 9700 is available in lunar blue color
only (but with golden upper and bottom rings,) as it’s a new product that’s currently on flagship.

Price:

And when comparing price the Philips Sonicare Flexcare Plus is cheaper than the Philips Sonicare flexcare platinum model and Diamondclean Smart electric toothbrush.

Note: Philips Sonicare Platinum used to come with a UV sanitizer but nowadays it does not include it.

Flexcare is one of Sonicare’s premium toothbrushes. It was the first model by the manufacturer to have a pressure sensor albeit via an app.

These two have quite some similarities: They all run on Sonicare’s patented sonic technology that makes 62000 movements per minute as you brush your teeth. They both have a pressure sensor.

However, they both come with 2 minute built-in timer, pressure sensor and Lithium ion battery. And when comes to the price,

You are free to choose from Sonicare DiamondClean Smart’s 3 main models that include the DiamondClean Smart 9300, 9500 and 9700. There is not much difference between the three Smart series models. The key difference is the number of brush heads that are included.

Shared Features

1. The Sonicare App

This is a great feature that defines how these two lines of toothbrushes help the users brush
their teeth using Bluetooth technology. The Sonicare app basically supports such features as location sensor, touch up, scrubbing sensor and pressure status.

With this app, you can know where to begin brushing, which parts need utmost attention and
where you’ve not brushed yet. If you’re a smartphone savvy individual, then you can use this app, together with the Sonicare electric brush series, to make your brushing experience more fun and convenient.

3. Customizable Brushing Modes

These lines of electric toothbrushes come with a range of customizable modes that can allow you to clean your teeth based on your unique circumstances and/or needs. You can enjoy such modes as Clean, White, Deep Clean, Health Mode and even Gum Health and Tongue Cleaning.

These modes can literally help clean and take care of any type of teeth and mouth cleaning. Their handles also offer 3 modes of intensity, which allow you to select one that’s comfortable and that can help you achieve maximum teeth cleaning.

4. Intelligent Pressure Sensor

This feature is designed to remind the user with a light up or vibration, when he or she is applying too much pressure on the gums. You can only imagine the kind of danger and risk you’re exposing yourself to when you damage your gums and are using an electric toothbrush. So the pressure sensor ensures the pressure on the teeth and gums is well balanced during brushing thus eliminating this risk.
