5. Differences between Philips Sonicare 2100 vs 3100 Series Specs

Philips Sonicare 2100 vs 3100 Series Electric Toothbrush

1. Pressure Sensor

The main difference is that the Philips Sonicare 3100 has a pressure sensor but the Sonicare 2100 electric toothbrush does not. The pressure sensor in the DailyClean 3100 is not visible but it alerts you when you brush too hard.

A pressure sensor alerts you if you use excessive pressure on your tooth and gums as you clean. It’s a feature that dentists recommend in an electrical brush. When the sensor detects an excess of pressure, the handle vibrates with a design very distinct from the regular signals in timers and quad pacers.

This makes it hard to ignore. You’ll probably see a change in the sounds of the brush also. As soon as any pressure is relieved, the vibration will stop. The sensor is working constantly and can activate each time you use excessive force unless it’s disabled.

2. BrushSync capability differences:

Philips Sonicare 3100 DailyClean has a BrushSync capability feature that reminds you to replace your brush head when it starts to wear out while the Sonicare 2100 model does not have this feature.

3. Brush head

Philips Sonicare 2100 comes with one SimplyClean brush head while the Sonicare 3100 comes equipped with a single standard C1 ProResults brush head.

The brush heads differ in their shape but they both clean very well. In any case, most brush heads by Philips Sonicare are compatible with most models. You can always buy the brush heads you fancy and use it on the toothbrush you end up choosing.

4. Colour differences:

Philips Sonicare 2100 comes just in one colour (White Mint) while the Sonicare 3100 comes in 3 colours (White, Black and Deep Pink).

5. Price differences:

Philips Sonicare DailyClean 2100 is cheaper than the Dailyclean 3100 electric toothbrush.

Which is Better, Philips Sonicare Dailyclean 2100 or 3100 Toothbrush?

Both Sonicare 2100 and 3100 are decent toothbrushes that clean well to remove plaque from your teeth. Whichever you choose depends on your preference and budget. The Sonicare 3100 has a pressure sensor that alerts you whenever you brush too hard. This of course will help improve your gum health but if you are only concerned with cleaning ability, both 2100 and 3100 are excellent choices.
